INTRODUCTION
In Late 2004 N-gage Coaching & Athlete Support placed itself in the MX market place as a Performance Coaching business with all the emphasis on Coaching skills opposed to Riding Skills, international Athlete’s would see this as normal however in UK MX it’s the opposite.

N-gage has ignored rumours, questions & criticism about the ability to ride and carry out accurate demonstrations as they feel it is of very little importance, However N-gage has agreed that part of this review will set out to judge it’s ability to carry out advanced riding techniques.
The purpose of the review is to give an un-bias view of the level of services offered by N-gage, this particular review was carried out by Expert riders who attended a Advanced Cornering and Braking training session at
N-gage’s Dedicated Training Facility in Doncaster.

So we have a rider who has ridden at pro level and in his 1st yr in MX actually won and posted an overall top five position in the expert classes, to experienced MX riders and youth Champions both from 125/250f and Michael Hughes just coming off the BW 85 to 125 also with an astonishing 6 championships in 06 on the SW85.

CONDITIONS;
The track was perfect for advanced training, we were in the middle of floods so most of the track was nice and muddy, the sections we used were hell on earth with ruts way past the axles and some knee high, the drill areas were most of the training was to take place was perfect it was very slippery but rutted & bumped up perfectly (big ugly mothers everywhere) these riders had no where to hide.
THE REVIEW:
How would you describe the coaches riding style?
Ben Askew: smooth, controlled, fast, good technique.
Jake Farnell: smooth stylish riding and looks very experienced on the bike
Maffy: Smooth, totally consistent, fluent, looks easy and natural on the bike.
Michael Hughes: Gaz`s riding style is smooth with effective body position and movement also easy to understand what hes explaining.

How accurate was the coaches lines?
Ben Askew: very accurate
Jake Farnell: Gaz set out some very good lines that were perfect for advanced cornering and breaking.
Maffy: On a slippy grassy surface, a large loamy rut was created which offered the optimum grip. The coach hit the same points in the rut lap after lap after lap........after lap!
Michael Hughes: for the conditions on the day i would say his lines were very good.
Was the coach able to demonstrate the advanced techniques accurately?
Ben Askew: yes perfectly.
Jake Farnell: because of Gaz’s riding style it was made easy to observe what he was teaching us.
Maffy: Not only were the techniques clearly demonstrated they were used to emphasise their importance and relevance to the terrain.
Michael Hughes: Gaz`s demonstrations were effective and accurate.
How did you rate the coaching on the day? did you go away with new skills or with the knowledge of what improvements need to be made in your riding and how you should achieve them?
Ben Askew: very good lots of great new skills to practice.
Jake Farnell: the coaching was top class, I have learnt many new skills that I will take away and practice.
Maffy: I learned 3 new techniques which I have to work on so they become natural as during the demos and training I could feel they made big improvements to not just my speed but consistency. I feel that the training method is good and rate it highly, techniques are taught but not laboured over, I feel the onus is on the rider to take the techniques away and use them when practicing. The enthusiam of the coach also motivates you to try new things and trust in them.
Michael Hughes: the coaching was good and Gaz made it easy and fun to learn his techniques

Why do you use N-gage for your Coaching needs?
Ben Askew: Gaz is not just a good rider, he is a good communicator, gives you motivation and confidence. very proffessional & scientific approach to coaching, much better than any other organisation I have worked with before. ’’I know I can achieve my goals with N-gage’’
Jake Farnell: I use N-gage to improve my riding and take me to the next level which I believe they can do.
Maffy: Consistent coaching, very motivating and rewarding
Michael Hughes: this was my first time using N-gage and I used them from recommendations of other riders that had trained with them also because they are full time coaches and have a dedicated training facility, we will be going back when funds allow
EDITORS CONCLUSION: My conclusion is. Even in very hard conditions N-gage (Gaz) demonstrated very well and put in some very good lines for the lads. The lads was four paying Expert riders who did not get a free days coaching to put a good review in. So I hope this now clears up a few things.
